    Rental Home –
    1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 4
Nestling in a secluded courtyard, this comfortable shuttered three roomed village house has just been renovated and decorated with hand-painted finishes to furniture, retaining touches of rustic village charm such as original French café chairs in the kitchen. Beamed ceilings and stone walls create a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

It was once a part of the original medieval château, the arches of which are still visible in some of the village walls.
A refuge from city life, it is the only house in the village that has a terrace- ideal on sunny days, including winter when the weather is usually good.

Situated in Tournissan, part of the canton of Lagrasse, this is a wonderfully intimate haven where you can either bring your book and relax with a good glass of regional wine, or use as a...

Away from all the touristy micky mouse , here you have to buy your baguette from the van that visits the village , the church bell marks the hrs twice , the villagers are chatty and friendly, you learn French fast .
The flat is small , the stairs to master, but, it has got everything you want - modern bathroom , clean and comfy beds , fully equipped kitchen , quaint roof terrace and even a washing machine and dryer . The TV set matches the size of the flat, small - but who needs that in such an interesting and beautiful area ?

This is a great little house with a lot of character. It’s very rural, and very French, so there isn’t a lot of activity in the town itself. You can drive through it in about 30 seconds (we checked).

Carcasonne, the nearest large town, is absolutely beautiful and a pretty hour’s drive away through vineyard country.

The house itself has a lovely set up, with a comfortable double bedded room, and upstairs can either act as a little snug for watching DVDs or a twin room for children. I wouldn’t say this house is particularly child friendly, just because of the steep stairs, but older children would be fine.

The kitchen and facilities are lovely, and although we had a few power cuts whilst we were there, the landlord is very helpful and it looks like the culprit was the kettle anyway. It made the trip more exciting. This isn’t somewhere I would recommend for someone who has a lot of activities in mind. It’s out of the way and you can escape, that’s the main...
