It is the third time we have stayed in Serendipity and a glowing review is now long over due...even though my instinct tells me to keep this Provencal gem a secret!
The villa itself is very homely, spacious and perfectly comfortable. The room lay out means it works very well for two families who may appreciate the extra space when sharing a villa - two double rooms are downstairs and we found there are plenty of shower/bath rooms to go around. Furthermore because of its size, Serendipity is able to offer plenty of choice - you can enjoy lunch by the pool, or in the dining room, or up on the sun terrace and likewise there are two lounge areas should you need to escape the sun and read a book for an hour or two. The villa is nestled on a quiet hillside, a 5 minute drive outside of the old Provencal town of Figanieres (shops, restaurants, a bar) and looks down onto vines, oaks and rolling hills. It is peaceful and private (you'd never know the glitz of St Tropez was only 40... more
