We spent Easter weekend in this comfy and cosy cottage and it had everything we needed.
The cottage has been recently re-decorated in pretty paint colours which are bright, cheerful and welcoming.
We have one teenager and two younger children and it suited us all, the only thing they complained about was lack of wi-fi and poor phone reception, but they loved how close we were to the beach. We enjoyed damming the river and hunting for fossils. It is an easy walk to Whitby along the beach, and the walk through the Mulgrave woods to find the castle was absolutely beautiful with all the primroses and spring plants.
The cottage is very warm and comfortable, with plenty of room on the sofas, and crisp white bedding in the bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped and it was easy to cook a proper Easter roast lunch.
I have only not given it 5 stars because of the big road that runs through Sandsend, not the fault of the cottage admittedly, but it does make it difficult and...
