Casa Calma accurately describes the ambience of this lovely white Ibizan farmhouse. Inside it it is shady, spacious and cool. Our bathroom had a glass door which, when open, let in a lovely breeze, shaded by giant banana tree leaves. Outside there is a large swimming pool and a raised gazebo equipped with mattress and huge cushions from which to survey the gently undulating rural surroundings- next door are the owner's sheep and hens-a cockerel is your alarm clock. Vincente and his son,Tito, provide warm hospitality- we were welcomed with baskets of almonds from their own trees and fresh eggs from their own roosters, and three bottles of wine from the local farms.
Ibiza is a beautiful island- once you escape the clubs and bars- it is a place of farms, evergreen frosts, good walking and cycling paths, and beautiful secluded coves from swimming and contemplating nature. more
