Food was great - worth the price and worth to return for. Service was a disaster. We don't expect much and i rarely write about service, but this truly spoiled the experience. Our waiter could not have been less interested. We were not in a hurry, but we had to ask for the menu after our drinks had arrived, the second course arrived before we had finished the first - our waiter was standing there waiting for us to wolf down our food and lift our plates so he could position his new ones and the list goes on. I would not be surprised if this were the service in any cheap food chain, but in an upscale restaurant - really? Interestingly another waiter asked a course later whether we would like to have our plates cleared together or whether he should already take my husband's plate who had finished earlier. How attentive. Hard to explain the discrepancy. My husband and I like to share dishes to be able to try different things and have found most innovative restaurants to be very supportive of this idea. $2 to divide a simple salad on 2 plates - really? $12 to provide some vegetables for a shared fish dish? Don't you think it is quite old-fashioned to punish guests for eating less? We left the restaurant with a bill for $160 for the 2 of us - isn't this still a good revenue even though we don't like to overeat? I started to say that the cuisine was good - perhaps we consider take out next time.

Had dinner last week at Maison Martinique in the Caribbean Court Boutique Hotel in Vero Beach, FL. A lovely restaurant with a very attentive staff. I had a red snapper in a buerre blanc sauce and my friend had the pompano prepared the same way. Very fresh and very tasty. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant an excellent was because I found the menu lacked imagination. Specials were offered but menu and sides were sort of typical. Can't wait to stay at the hotel. Reminded me of a little European village. And when I do visit the hotel, I will definitely go back to Maison Martinique.

Always an immensely enjoyable dinning experience, every year I am in Vero I am sure to treat myself to Maison Martinque. This trip I enjoyed the Pompano, absolutely delicious! The staff are all top notch and our server Bhagavati gracious and professional. a very intimate setting for just 2 or as with us this year a great place for our group of 11 to share laughs, stories and truly the best meal and setting of our trip.
