For an elegant breakfast or brunch, there is perhaps no better place than the famous and unique Arizona Inn for a mid-town location or Hacienda Del Sol for spectacular mountain views. It's expensive, but the service and food are great, and it's a wonderful special occasion place. Another with a spectacular view in addition to great food is the Gold Room at the Westward Look Resort.

For more modest budgets, the Good Egg is an excellent choice with 3 locations in mid-town and the near east-side. If you go on a Saturday or Sunday, expect to wait in line 15-30 minutes (no reservations). Mimi's Cafe is a chain and the same advice for weekends, except Mimi's will take reservations. The Cup Cafe dowtown at the historic Hotel Congress has great breakfasts, and was featured on Rachel Ray's Tasty Travels on the Food Network.

An "insiders" choice with good "down home" fare is Frank's at Pima and Alvernon, and also makes a metmorphisis to Francisco's at night. Another is Crossroads Restaurant (Mexican) at 36th St and 4th Ave in South Tucson. A full hot breakfast buffet for $6, eggs, chorizo, bacon, sausage, birria, beans, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, tortillas, menudo!
