Corpus Christi, as with most of Texas, enjoys warm temperatures throughout the year.  The average high temperature in the city during the summer months is about 97 degrees F, with January's average high being a balmy 65 degrees F.  Although it does get quite warm in July and August, its location on the Gulf Coast provides the city with ocean breezes that prevent it from reaching the even higher average temperatures common in interior Texas.  Corpus Christi's location however,as beautiful as it is, does make it susceptible to major hurricanes in the late summer.  Hurricane information and evacuation routes are available on the city's official  website.

For visitors who want to enjoy the beach, Corpus Christi is best visited during the warmer months, but its many other attractions can be enjoyed at any time of year.
