Visitors to the city of Woodstock have various opportunities to participate in a number of sports and activities, from a stroll to wacky over exertion . 

            Winters in Vermont are made for snow sports, and there are a number of opportunities for visitors to this town to ski, snowboard, and go snowmobiling.  The Woodstock Inn’s Suicide Six Ski Area is located in the town of Woodstock , and on top of many other activities, guests during the winter months can participate in cross country or downhill skiing.  The Ascutney Mountain Resort offers fun throughout the whole year, including some of the area’s best big mountain skiing and snowboarding during the winter time. Also worth mentioning is the fact that Killington is less than 30 minutes drive away and the skiing in particular is consdiered to be some of the best in the State.

            Many visitors to Woodstock bring along their clubs and play a few rounds at one of the Golf Courses around the Area.  Spring and fall climates in Woodstock are perfect for playing golf during any time of the day.  Make sure to call a few days in advance to schedule tee times, as most courses require this of their players.

            There are many fishing opportunities for visitors to Woodstock .  Fly-fishing is great on the rivers around the town, and Lake Amherst offers great boating and fishing.
