Harvard Square
As Harvard Square is often the part of Cambridge where large groups congregate, it's also the best for affordable dining for them.
- Border Cafe - Drink margaritas while you wait for up to 2 hours for a table for their Texmex. It may sound crazy, but large groups do it in droves and have a fun time at it.
- Le's Thai (was Pho Pasteur, same owner, new name May 06 ) - In the Garage (a mini-mall), Le's serves Vietnamese food. The service is fast so the wait is never very long. Terrific prices and a crispy whole sea bass any Chinese mother would love.
- Hong Kong - This Chinese restaurant is famous for their scorpion bowls.
Porter Square
- Chang Sho - Nicer Chinese food
- Elephant Walk - French and Cambodian. Also has a private dining room for larger parties and functions.
Kendall Square
- Legal Seafood - Takes reservations and is accomodating for parties of all sizes. But, you may still end up waiting 1/2 or more, regardless of your reservation time.
Also, see Special Occassion Dining for upscale restaurants that take reservations and can most likely accomodate parties of all sizes with advanced notice.
