Half hipster-haven, half-MIT hangout, the B-Side Lounge is by far the best place for cocktails in Cambridge. The extensive drink menu has something for every taste, from the Periodista to the Grasshopper, along with the best Mojito in the Kendall Square area.  The quirky staff is friendly and accomodating, and Monday night the B-Side serves up local guest DJs. 

 Food is served until 1 a.m. and menu highlights include the gouda skillet -- a cast-iron skillet teeming with piping hot baked gouda cheese served with toasted slabs of French bread, the hangar steak and the sandwich du jour.  Brunch at the B-Side is another winner with their huevos rancheros.

 Crowds pack the bar area, but the dimly lit booths are an excellent place for a date or a special night out.
