The Market Theater, in hisoric Pike Place Market, is home of the world famous Gum Wall. This wall of gum was started in 1998 by the patrons of another Seattle mainstay, Unexpected Productions Theatresports, which began in 1983 and is still going strong. The live improv comedy shows are fairly suitable for all ages with a PG-13 rating. Theatresports is a comedy improv battle scored by a panel of judges. Theatresports always runs on Friday & Saturday nights at 10:30pm. $12. The 8:30pm shows are also improvised usually having a theme throughout them (ex: an improv show done in the style of a disaster movie.) Unexpected Productions also has shows on Thursdays (Duo Comedy Showcase 8:30pm - $8) and Sundays at 7pm. The shows are all ages and if you're over 21, stop by the UP lounge for an adult beverage.
