Savannah Walking Trails and Bike Trails (parks, squares, including Forsyth Park). The City of Savannah 's Leash Law requires that all pets be leashed when visiting City parks, squares, business and residential areas. Failure to do so, may result in a fine. “Please Leash All Pets” signs, seen throughout downtown, serve as a reminder. For your pet's safety, please observe Savannah 's Leash Law. In addition to keeping your pet on a leash, Savannah also requires pet owners to "scoop" up after their pets.   Pet waste should never be left in the City's parks and squares. Responsible pet owners should carry a "scooping" device with them at all times when escorting their animals. Not only is it polite and respectful to clean up after your pet; but you will also avoid potentially expensive fines.
