The Footprints of Slavery are revealed throughout the city's historic district. The story of slavery is told from the Old County Courthouse to Bay Lane and along the Factor's Walk. The
footpath on Bay Street walks along a block where the Customs House is
today. It is a part of the city where the buildings are close to what was there in the 1850s. The Footprints tour also talks about the significant role historic preservation has played in this part of the city.
