After eating lunch at Vic's on the River on October 17th, I was surprised that others have not commented on this.  My friend and I had the Fried Green Tomato BLT with a side of Smoked Cheese Grits... We will be talking about this meal for years.  This was without a doubt the best sandwich I had in my whole entire life!  In looking through one of the travel brochures I brought home, I noted that it was voted Best Restaurant on the water by Savannah Magazine Readers.  The food was very reasonable and the quality superior to any experienced by us in Savannah during our last 3 visits.  We previously ate at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons, Uncle Bubba's and Geneva Geneva's...None of these can touch what you will find at Vic's!  Enjoy.
