If you're sick of shopping in the Inner Harbor and want to look for greater variety and activities, I highly recommend two malls that are both within 20 min from downtown Baltimore, namely the Towson Shopping Mall and Arundel Mills. First, the Towson shopping mall. located about 15 min north of Baltimore in Towson, MD, offers you all the shops you need for your day-to-day needs. With ample parking spaces and four floors of shops, restaurants, and services, you will find everything you need here.
However, Towson is like any other mall in the United States. If you are looking for an outlet style shopping mall, check out Arundel Mills that is conveniently located off 295 South, just south of the BWI airport (approximately 20 min south of downtown). Here, you will find budgetly priced high-quality items, including a very comprehensive food court including some classic sit-down American restaurants. Costco is within the main plaza. More importantly, a very very nice cinema with more than 24 screens offer you the best movie experience at a very cheap rate (approximately $6) you can ever find. If you're the type of person to shop from 9-9, and then catch a movie afterwards, this is the place you should check out. The shops within Arundel Mills correspond with those found in Towson; however, as with all outlet malls, the styles are limited but prices are at its lowest. This is a true gem and the place to go in the greater Bmore area.
