The Captain George Flavel House Museum is a must-see for lovers of Queen Anne architecture. This historic home, built in 1885, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is also a member of the Clatsop County Historical Society. The house is located on 8th and Duane Street.
During the summer months, you can have tea and scones in the formal dining room of the Flavel House for a slight fee. There is a small gift shop, just around the corner to buy postcards, books, etc. and obtain information about the Flavel House. This is one of the many major attractions not-to-miss while visiting Astoria, Oregon.
You may want to consider purchasing a Museum Pass that will gain you access to this attraction, the Heritage House, and the Maritime Museum. This is a great deal if you are planning on visiting these three attractions while in the Astoria area.
