San Diego Brewing Company
San Diego Brewing Company is the original multi-tap brewpub in San Diego, featuring 50 taps. They brew their own house beers on premise and usually have about 5-7 available at any time. In addition to their own great beer selection (their Hopnotic IPA won two gold medals in 2008) they also carry a great selection of other local San Diego brews and a nice selection of regional and imported beers. The menu has something for everyone, including a nice selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta, steak and ribs. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday from 4-6 and they discount all appetizers 1/2 price during this time, with select house beers for $3, domestic beers for $3, well drinks and house wine are also $3, making this place a real bargain. They are kid friendly and have a separate children's menu with each selection priced below $5. The bar and restaurant area boast numerous large plasma tv's for sports viewing and have the NFL, College Football, MLB and NBA packages, so even if you are from out of town you can catch your home team. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive, and the bartenders knowledgeable about beer and can steer you toward the perfect brew for you. They serve breakfast on Saturday during football season, and Sunday all year long beginning at 9:30. Located close to Qualcom Stadium, it is a great place to visit if you are in town for a game and is close to 2 major freeways.
