Moab is synonymous with outdoor sports… and adventure. What are the options for the visitor? Mountain biking, rock climbing, horseback riding, cross country skiing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, hiking. Moab’s gorgeous landscape ensures lots of adventure and fun for everybody.
Riding in a raft down the Colorado in Canyonlands National Park: perhaps you’ll prefer a river trip through the Cararact Canyon: why not through Labyrinth Canyon on the Green River; or board a Jet boat to explore the river canyons between Moab and Canyonlands National Park. There are plenty of stores where you can rent the equipment required. You can hire experienced guides that will take you through the river if you want to enjoy the uneven landscape; you can always go on your own. If you decide to hire the tour, these companies will feed you. Steaks, salmon, chicken, pasta or vegetarian menues are their food options.
For horseback riding, try LaSal Mountains. Or drive a jeep along the numerous trails that cross Canyonlands National Park. Both activities can be done on your own or you can hire a guide to do the rough work. Keep in mind that you are moving in a very rugged geography and an experienced guide knows the terrain like the palm of their hands.
