Located in the Western Pacific ocean, Guam is a tropical island with year round warm weather. Temperatures range from the low 70s to about 90 degrees with relatively strong humidity. There are two defined seasons however, a humid and rainy season and a dry season.
January to May is the dry period in Tumon and thus the tourist high season. Despite it being called the "dry season," humidity is still quite strong and thick, breathable clothing is recommended. Easterly trade winds are present in both seasons and can be anywhere from 3 to 11 miles per hour. Sometimes these winds evolve into dangerous tropical storms and the wind speeds up to more than 25 miles per hour. Typhoons can occur, therefore keeping track of weather forecasts is the best way to be prepared.
The rainy season is classified as July to November whereas June and December are inconsistent periods that fall into either the dry or wet catergory.
Despite these two seasons, Tumon is truly a year-round destination with a sunny and warm climate that offers ideal and beautiful escapism!
