Milwaukee's main source for tourist information is the local convention and visitors bureau, named VISIT Milwaukee.  You can obtain information from their website, including requesting a printed visitor's guide, calendar of events, and other brochures.  Logo

In addition, they have a Visitor Information Center inside the main rotunda on the first floor at the Wisconsin Center, located on 400 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Brochures can also be found at the airport, near the baggage claim area, and at various area hotels and restaurants.

Another good online source for information is OnMilwaukee.com. Visit their message boards to ask questions about the city. Locals will respond with replies.

Other printed guides include Key Magazine, which can be found at attractions, restaurants, and hotels. Also look for free weekly periodicals such as MKE, The Shepherd Express, and Vital to find out what's happening in town.

While downtown, you may also spot Public Service Ambassadors. These folks are super helpful! Ask them for information, directions, or anything you might think of. They also show up at local events with a traveling kiosk that contains brochures for area events, attractions, etc.
