Williamsburg is hardly known for having a thriving nightlife.
It’s largely a quiet city after hours. However, it is a
college town and several bars cater to that crowd. On Richmond Road,
just across from the college campus at Scotland Street, can be found
what students know as "the delis." The College Delly
, Paul’s Deli Restaurant
and the Green Leaf Cafe
all serve hot sandwiches and burgers at lunch and dinner, as well as
beer and other drinks until closing in the early morning hours.
Another option is J.M. Randall’s
, a blues and jazz bar and grill that also has billiards and trivia in addition to live performances most nights. The Corner Pocket
is a popular choice for drinks and pool, and AMF Williamsburg Lanes
offers late night bowling on the weekends. Those looking for larger
night clubs, dance clubs and other options can find a good selection in
downtown Richmond, about an hour west on Interstate 64.
