The main sporting activity in Park City is skiing.  Located in the Wasatch Range of the western Rocky Mountains, the town has several ski resorts and attracts thousands of skiers and snowboarders each year.  In addition to these winter sports, snowshoeing, ice skating, tubing, and sleigh rides are also popular.  During the summer, biking, hiking, mountain climbing, golf, fishing and hunting are all popular.  Park City even has a skateboard park and a place where visitors can take hot air balloon rides.

Winter isn't the only time to visit Park City. Try the "Alpine Slide" located at the Park City ski resort and next to the Marriott Mountain Side Resort. Buy tickets at the base of the lift, ride the lift up and select a sled, which then runs down the mountain in a "luge-like" cement track. There is also a lot to see and do at the Olympic Park. You can try ski-jumping, luge as well as an incredible zip-line down the mountain. In addition, there are many, many trails for mountain biking. For $28 (single lift ride) to $38 (all day pass), have your bike hooked on a ski lift chair at the Deer Valley Resort and ride uphill the easy way.

Keep in mind that you do not need to purchase a lift pass to Mtn Bike. The resort has some of the best trail systems in the world!
