Open Air Sculpture Museum

The Open Air Sculpture Museum is found at the Via Complutense. The sculptor Pepe Noja was the person who started this open air sculpture museum in 1991 and it was inaugurated in August of 1993. There are about 58 abstract sculptures (figurative, abstract, modern and contemporary) and every sculpture has a plaque with the name of the artist, but no title, so that the viewer can do as many interpretations as he wants. There are many artists that are represented that are internationally famous. The museum continues along the old city wall and has a length of two kilometers, making it the longest of its class in Europe. There are interesting statues of important artists such as Amadeo Gabino, José Lamiel, Pablo Serrano and Úrculo.
