California Street in Historic Jacksonville, Oregon

 If you are passing thru Southern Oregon on I-5 it's worth taking the Highway 238 Jacksonville & Applegate Winery detour.  You can get off I-5 and onto Highway 238 at Medford and drive thru the historic town of Jacksonville and the wonderful farms and vineyards in Apple Gate Valley and join I-5 back up at Grants Pass, OR.

Gary West Smoked Meats - this has to be the best jerky on the planet!!  They have 2 stores one on California & 3rd and the other at 5th and G street.

 Scheffel's Toys at Oregon & California Street - this is a great local old fashioned owner operated toy store.

Segway of Jacksonville - very cool eco-friendly tours on Segways with a personal tour guide who gives an A+ tour with plenty of history.

 Jacksonville Mercantile - an old style mercantile with gourmet foods from across the planet.
