Three museums that you can’t miss specially if you are visiting bend with the kids are:
- Located at 129 NW Idaho avenue, Deschutes County Historical Museum presents an exhibition that spans over more than two centuries of the history of Bend and Deutsches County.
- Located at 59800 S Highway 97, The High Desert Museum is Bend's way to introduce High Desert's natural and cutural life to the visitor in a friendly and original way. Through its exhibits, the visitor will know that foxes have snacks, will test his ability to succeed the Oregon Trail or to hunt the biggest bear ever, and will know what it took to live in the region before the Westerners. The museum is open every day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Kids will know that museums are fun. Yes, it is the
Working Wonders Children's Museum. Located in The Shops at The Old Mill District, the museum includes hands-on-exhibits with inviting names such as KidVille, Busy Bodies, Pitter Patter and Wonder Mart. The museum hosts special activities with equally engaging names (Cold Blooded Critters!, CD Sun Catchers, and Crazy Karen). Check out their website for updates of the calendar of events.
