Make the trip down the National Road to Springfield, Ohio for many attractions.

The Pennsylvania House has joined the downtown Heritage Center and the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Westcott House as three stopping points in the city.  The Heritage Center located downtown is an excellent regional museum.  If you travel from the east (Columbus) you will pass one of the major antique mall complexes in the Midwest.  Continue into Springfield and sample the eateries on the road.  Linardo's has been on the east side for many years and still exists in the middle of fast food distractions.  As you continue through town "The Fountain" downtown in the Busnell Building is a great restoration of an original soda fountain. Further West is "Joe's US 40 Grille" one of the few remaining original eateries on the road from the 50's and 60's.  Two coffee shops are in the area; "Un Mundo" features free trade Guatemalan Coffee, and further west and back on the main rt 40 is "Dream Cups".  "Casey's" finishes the trip before you leave town with upscale dining.
