This quarter mile of Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights is known for its quirky shops and great food.  Be sure to stop in at Big Fun for toys and games and lots of nostalgia--even if you're an adult there are lots of things in there that'll make your eyes light up like you're a child. For the book lover, Mack's Back Books has a great selection of books in a cozy atmopshere, a world away from the book buying experience of larger, chain bookstores.

For food, go to Tommy's for lunch, but be advised, there is almost always a line. This is a great place for vegan.  Or try the Winking Lizard for family fare and sports bar atmosphere. Hunan on Coventry also has good lunch specials with large portions.

There is a park and library at the south end where during the summer movies are shown in the open at night, some with audience participation. A couple times during the warmer months the road is closed for an open street fair with food, several bands and lots to do for the family. You can find more at Coventry Village
