Winston Salem is a lively city full of events. Celebrating their heritage and traditions and delving into the present day fun festivals such as grand concerts, the city really knows how to throw a party. 

For starters, visit the website WinstonSalemEvents.org to learn all about their concert series and jazz fests.  The Events Program started up to serve the city in 1998 in attempts to revive some energy in to the downtown. In the spring, Old Salem opens up for a tour of their Spring Garden, the beautiful colonial settlement richly preserved to it's past glory alongside the beautifully tended gardens is a great time to come. You can get more information by visiting the tourist board site for Old Salem.

July is festive with a classic fourth of July Celebration and the National Black Theater Festival. September will fill you up with the Chili Championship as will the Folk Festival with is a cooking competition in the middle of October.

Christmas is a gorgeous time to visit Winston-Salem and the Old Salem's perfection on traditional Yuletide scenes and spirt.
