Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey is all about summer fun and the best place for summer fun is at the beach.  Point Pleasant Beach contains a private beach (payment is required for enterance).  The beach is well maintained and has life guards on duty. Concerts are played on the beach and a fire works display happens every Thursday night.

Besides the beach, there is the Jenkinson's board walk.   The board walk contains an arcade with many rides and games of chance.  Each ride requires a specified number of "stars" to be punched but every Tuesday day and Friday night are "wrist-band" times where for a flat fee, you can ride on all rides (some might have height restrictions).

At the opposite side of the board walk is Jenkinsons Aquarium.  The aquarium many types of fish and has special feeding times for Penguins, Seals, Atlantic Sharks, Pacific Sharks, and American Alligators.  And like most aquariums or zoos, the exit leads right into the gift shop.

In the evening, the boardwalk has a bar where adults can listen to music and drink their "umbrella-drinks" while watching the sunset over the ocean.

In addition to beach type activities, there are as many boating activities.  Deep sea fishing excursions can be found leaving most mornings all summer long allowing participants to fish for Blue Fish, Cod Fish, or other types of fish (depending on what fish are running).  There are also tour boats that leave the Point Pleasant pier giving a background of the area.

If any of the above activities do not seam interresting, then you can always walk to the Manasquan Inlet where you can sit and watch the boats sail in and out all day long.
