In Ocean City, there are events, festivals and/or happenings on-going all year round. The most popular time to visit Ocean City is during the summer, so the events during June, July and August are very popular, but there is usually something going on just about every weekend of the year.

Following is a sample of some of the events and festivals that will occur this year in Ocean City:

In January: There is a shopping extravaganza on Asbury Avenue

In February: (No events currently scheduled)

In March: There is a St. Patrick’s Day Festival

In April: There is an Easter parade and breakfast with the Easter bunny, an Easter egg hunt, a pet fashion show, and a few outdoor concerts.

In May: There is a Spring Block party and a “Mollusk” festival.

In June: There is a flower show, the Ms. New Jersey pageant, and an antique auto show.

In July: There are live concerts, a farmer’s market, 4th of July festival, sand sculpture contests, seafood festival, and hermit crab races.

In August: There are live concerts, a farmer’s market, sand sculpture contests, seafood festival, and hermit crab races, a “Miss Crustacean” hermit crab beauty contest, and the “Little Miss Ocean City” pageant.

In September: There is a Labor Day festival, a street rod weekend, a festival of art along the boardwalk, an air festival, an air show, a barbeque cook-off, and a folk festival by the sea.

In October: There is a Fall Block party, and Indian Summer festival, and a Halloween parade.

In November: There is an arts and crafts show, a “quiet” festival, and photos with Santa on the Boardwalk.

In December: There is a Christmas parade, a train show, a caroling festival, and fireworks on New Year’s Eve.
