Regardless of what time of year you visit Lincoln, you will find plenty of things there waiting for you to do.  During the summer hiking, fishing, wildlife tours, boating, mountain biking and ATV tours are all popular and readily available to visitors.  The winter months bring both downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, tubing, sleigh rides and snowmobile tours.  And for those who may not want to be as active, the area also offers a few museums, miniature golf and a theater.

Equipment for many of the activities, including skis, mountain bikes, golf clubs, and fishing rods can be rented on site, so there is no need to bring everything with you if you don't want to.  Renting equipment may also be a good option for those people who may not be entirely sure what they want to do; it leaves all of their options open.  Keep in mind, however, that if you want to go fishing you will need a New Hampshire fishing license.   Fishing licenses are available at most shops that rent fishing gear.  For listings of places renting all types of sporting goods, visit the Lincoln-Woodstock activities page.

The activities page can also provide some great ideas of things to do in the area that you may not have thought of, including moose tours and rock climbing, so give it a look before you arrive.
