Incline Village and Crystal Bay on the northern side of Lake Tahoe offer several shopping centers, including Raley’s, Incline Plaza, Village Plaza, Christmas Tree Village and Village Center. The stores here span the spectrum; there are convenience marts like 7-11 (901 Tahoe Blvd) for a quick midnight snack, Wired Solutions (799 Southwood #11) for pragmatic electronic needs and Porter’s Ski & Sport Shop (885 Tahoe Blvd) with a large selection of sports equipment, not to mention numerous souvenir, art and jewelry stores.

Not to be outdone, South Lake Tahoe offers its own selection of artisan crafts. A cluster of discount designer outlets can be found at Factory Stores at the Y, located at the junction of Highways 50 and 89. The Ski Run Marina, Shops at Heavenly Village and Village Center are also great places for either a shopping spree or window-browsing. A few antique shops and art galleries are scattered throughout the town as well.

If these selections are still not enough, larger malls can be found only a short drive away. The town of Galena is home to the Summit Sierra Mall, which contains stores such as Pottery Barn, Guess and Ann Taylor. Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Tahoe City and Truckee also have a variety of stores for you to explore; Kings Beach and Tahoe City, in particular, have large malls with department stores and chain brands.
