Just came back from a visit at Lake Las Vegas and had a GREAT time.  True, the area is a little quiet during the week, but on the weekend the village came alive!  There was free entertainment on Thursday (movie night) and Friday (soul music; he wasn't terrific, but not bad!).  The restaurants were all open and pretty good, and fairly inexpensive.  The casino in the village has closed as has one of the hotels (the Ritz), but Hotel Loews is still open and the service is first class!  There are a number of gift shops, some really high end.  Two of the golf courses are closed but one is still open, and it has opened to the public and reduced prices.  I had the BEST lunch (chicken sandwich) at Bernard's Bistro By the Lake!  It was incredible!!  Attentive service, great prices (3  had a HUGE lunch for $45 with tip!).  The Black Pepper Grill is good too.  CAN'T wait to go back!!
