Being the largest city not only in Montana, but in all of the northern plain states, Billings is host to many events and festivals each year that attract visitors from the surrounding area as well as from across the country and Canada.  Beginning the day after Thanksgiving with a festive downtown Christmas parade, Billings continues the celebration throughout the holiday season with the Festival of Trees in December and their popular Christmas Stroll.

After a winter break, things pick up again in April with the PBR rodeo and again in May with Montana State University Billings's  Wine and Food Festival.  This event runs for five days and features a number of events including several dinners and lunches, wine appreciation classes and an auction.  See the website for more information.

The summer in Billings is bursting with events, including SummerFair, Strawberry Festival, Clark Days, Custer's Last Stand Reenactment,  loads of live music all summer long, Magic City Hot Air Balloon Rally, Magic City Blues Festival and the largest event in Montana, MontanaFair.
