Billings is known for its beautiful, cool and clear summers and cold winters.  During the summer the average temperature in the city is in the mid to high 80's; it sometimes gets up into the 90's during the months of July and August.  The winter often begins early in Billings, with temperatures beginning to drop as soon as late September.  Billings' latitude also comes into play, with the days in the winter being very short, while in the summer the daylight can often last for 15 hours at a time.  Spring usually arrives sometime in May, with the average high temperatures by the end of the month at about 70 degrees.

Visitors come to the Billings area all year long, but the summer is a popular time for people to come and enjoy not only the city, but the beautiful natural landscape which surrounds it.
