Minneapolis has a number of professional sports teams.

Minnesota Twins (baseball) – The 1987 and 1991 World Series Champion Minnesota Twins play at Target Field (new baseball park opened in Spring 2010) in downtown Minneapolis.

Minnesota Vikings (football) – The Vikings play in the Hubert H Humphrey Metrodome in downtown Minneapolis.

Minnesota Timberwolves (basketball) – The Timberwolves play at Target Center in downtown Minneapolis.

If you’re looking to grab a drink or a quick bite to eat before a game at the Metrodome, the best (and closest – right across the street) bet is Hubert’s Sports Bar & Grill which has a friendly waitstaff and good food at good prices. Hubert's opened a second location at Target Center next to Target Field in Spring 2010.

If you’re catching a game at the Target Center, then you have many more options to choose from for drinks and dinner. You can go fine dining at places like Bradstreet Crafthouse or Cosmos across the street or more of an "Average Joe" type restaurant such as Kieran's Irish Pub, Gluek’s or the Hard Rock Café.

Looking for professional hockey? All you need to do is drive across the river to St. Paul where the Minnesota Wild play at the Xcel Center.
