Shopping Mackinaw is extremely easy since the city (along with its Mackinac Island connects) is practically a brand onto itself.  Mackinaw Clothing, which carries all sorts of apparel, is an excellent representative of this self-concerned consumerism.

The question is what type of stuff do you want.  Gifts?  Shirts?  Well, how about trying O’Brien’s Shirts and Gifts, a shop carrying all major, affordable designer names plus some signature Mackinaw goods.

Mackinaw Crossings
is the city’s, if not the region’s, most popular consumer center.  Crossings is an enormous complex of dining and shopping that offers laser light shows in the summer.

Woodland Creek calls itself the “Largest Rustic Furniture Store in the Country” and boasts that people actually take flights from out of town to visit their shop.  Though probably an exaggeration, Woodland is certainly a retail destination in the region given its very high quality of handicraft and its furniture offerings that are unique to the country.

There’s also plenty of fudge stores worth frequenting in Mackinaw City, including Joann’s Fudge, made fresh daily in 25 different flavors (Fort Fudge Shop and Marshall’s Fudge & Candy Company also sell delicious dessert items).

With a plethora of additional stores specializing in everything from jewelry to sporting goods, Mackinaw City brims over with business.
