Whether your interests lie in aerospace, the arts, nature, or history, there's a museum for you in Kalamazoo.

The Air Zoo -- a huge collection of aircraft, including a Curtiss P-40N Warhawk, F-18, F-14 Tomcat and SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. The interactive museum also features a 4-D theatre, simulators, murals, and rides. Admission is $19.50 for adults; $17.50 for seniors (ages 60 and over); $15.50 for children aged 6 through 15, and children 5 and under are free. Opening hours vary throughout the year. Core hours are Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. (April through August). Daily hours extend to 6 p.m. during the summer as well.

Kalamazoo Institute of Arts -- the permanent collection at this art museum features 20th century American painting and sculpture works. The museum also houses an all-encompassing print collection of European and American origin. Artists featured in the museum are of local, regional, national, and international heritage. The museum also hosts a number of traveling exhibits throughout the year as well. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the museum is free, some special exhibitions require a fee for admission. The museum is located at 314 South Park Street.

The Kalamazoo Nature Center -- located at 7000 N Westnedge Avenue, features at the nature center include a Bughouse, Butterfly house, tropical sun-rain room, and other natural history exhibits. The grounds feature 11 different nature trails to experience nature firsthand.

The Kalamazoo Valley Museum -- this museum features exhibits focusing on nature, science, and technology. Collections include natural history items from the region, along with local ethnographic objects and antiquities. The museum is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

A great place to stop at after a long day at the museums is Bell's Brewery, Kalamazoo's oldest microbrewery. Stop by for a brewski (or two) and experience one of the best beers you will ever taste.
