Michigan experiences all four seasons, although autumn is perhaps the best time to visit. The trees are changing color then so it's the ideal time to take a drive through the city's surrounding countryside. Winter is cold, and if you visit at this time of year you should expect snow. There is often more snow accumulated in Michigan that the surrounding states thanks to lake-effect snow (which is created as the weather moves from West to East across Lake Michigan, generating snow/rain that falls on the western part of the state). Expect a lot of cloud cover in Kalamazoo too, thanks to the lake-effect weather pattern. Spring blossoms are beautiful in Kalamazoo as they are most everywhere, especially apple blossoms. Summer gets very warm, usually in the 80s and sometimes 90s (F). No matter what time of year you visit, you will find Kalamzoo to be a friendly and welcoming town.
