There is a lot to in Chatham that costs you nothing. Every Friday night in July and August you can head on over to Kate Gould Park on Main Street for concerts that are played in the Whit Tileston Bandstand. If sports are more your thing the Chatham A's baseball team has plenty of home games - all of which are free and are played at Veterans Memorial Field just before the rotart in downtown Chatham.

If you want to take in the sun on the beach but dont want to pay the parking fees you can always walk to one of the towns many beaches such as Hardings Beach, Cockle Cove Beach, Lighthouse Beach, Ridgevale Beach or Oyster Pond. If you want to drive to the beach though you can head over to the Lighthouse Beach where there is free parking but only for 30 minutes which means you can move you car every half hour or so. Your other option is parking on the street on Bridge Street and then walking over to the beach which many people do.

The scene on Main Street is always free of charge. Taking a stroll downtown to check out the shops, maybe pick up a book at the library or sit at the gazebo is always free as well.
