Travelers staying anywhere in downtown Wichita will find it most convenient to catch their buses at the Downtown Transit Center.  This bus station is located two blocks east of the main street, Broadway, and one block south of Douglas Street.  At this location, travelers can catch buses heading to a number of different areas of the city.

Standard bus fare is $1.00 for adults, seventy five cents for children seventeen and under and fifty cents for seniors sixty five and older.  Transfers to be used between busses cost twenty five cents for all people.  Visitors can get discounted twenty-ride passes along with unlimited ride one day, three day, one week and one month passes.  These are most frequently bought at the Downtown Transit Center (see above).  Visitors without bus passes are reminded that bus drivers are not able to provide change so correct fares are necessary when boarding the bus.
