Tallahassee Florida takes care of its tourists with a downtown Tallahassee visitors centers and one Florida Visitor’s Center.  There is also an airport kiosk at the Tallahassee Regional airport located near the car rental area.  The airport is staffed during busy airport periods and is fully stocked with visitors guides and brochures.

The Tallahassee Area Visitor Information Center is run by the Tallahassee Area Convention and Visitors Bureau( www.VisitTallahassee.com is located at 106 E. Jefferson street.  The Visitors Center has hundreds of brochures featuring area attractions, restaurant  and hotel information.  Information and guides are  free including street maps and maps of public transportation to help visitors get around the area.  The There are also colorful guides, hot deals and brochures featuring  tourist information and pamphlets providing information about what is happening in the region.

Hours are eight a.m. to five p.m. Monday through Friday and nine a.m. to noon on Saturdays throughout the year.  There is short term metered parking on Jefferson and you may also park at Kleman plaza.  It is short walk to Jefferson and you will receive a parking voucher for 1/2 hour.  The Visitor Center also has a gift shop that sells great local artist pieces and Tallahassee items.

Just across the street from the Tallahassee Area Visitor Information Center is the Florida Capitol Building which houses the Florida Welcome Center.   Sights to see include the old Capitol museum, the New Capitol.  In addition to maps and tourist information, the Florida Welcome Center provides visitors with a free glass of Florida Orange Juice.  This visitor’s center is operated by VISIT FLORIDA ( www.visitflorida.com).
