The Historic Asolo Theater (housed at Florida's state museum, the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art) and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall are the two main venues for theater, music and dance. Recently remodeled, Asolo Theater is America’s only 18th century European Theater. It features concerts of classis music, film screenings, family activities, and other musical programs.

Known for its architecture and great acoustics, Van Wezel Hall features a diversified season that includes symphonies, classical and modern dance companies, comedy, country music, jazz artists,opera, rock’n roll and Broadway shows.
