The Flaming Pit in Pompano Beach only shortcoming may be the rather small on site parking lot. While the interior may need some attention relating to carpet, and upkeep of the server-only drink stations, it more than offers a consistent, quality meal with plenty of options.  Known for it's excellent, well stocked soup and salad bar, the locals know the restaurant's Broasted Chicken is worth the drive. At lunch, it is part of the salad bar buffet. At night, the salad bar offers spaghetti and meat sauce, plus some hot vegetables. There is always a hearty helping of fresh fruits, puddings, pound cake, and  other choices for dessert.  The "Pit' offers popular Early Bird specials and has large rooms which can accommodate moderate sized groups.  In addition, a full service bar is available too.
