Some additional tips to keep in mind:

The Orlando Magicard can provide you with discounts in accommodations and sometimes gives discounts on meals, etc. (a quick Google search will pull up the information for you)

If you're visiting Disney or Universal parks, you can bring in your own water bottles and snacks, as long as the drinks are not in glass bottles. Check out each one's site for more detailed do's and don'ts regarding what food is allowed in for full clarity. Choosing to do your snacks this way during a park visit can save you ALOT of money during your stay. There are a few grocery delivery services in Orlando that deliver right to your hotel.  So you save money even on car rental.  Food Store 2 Go.com is one and Garden Grocery is another. Enjoy!

Check Fuel Prices on Stations Near the Airport: There can be price differences of over $2/gallon. WaWa and RaceTrac tend to have market prices and are located very near higher priced competitors.
