Key Largo is a beautiful town known for its diving and snorkeling industry.  It's the top most of the Florida Keys and home to some of the world's most beautiful coral reef.  Key Largo is actually known as the "diving capital of the world," and it's easy to see why.  Tourists flock to the Keys, even in tough economic times, because it's like visiting paradise right here in the USA.  With palm trees and beautiful sunsets, it's a romantic place to get away and a target hot-spot for water sports.

Most, if not all, of the diving and snorkeling companies visit John Pennekamp park, the nation's first underwater state park.  The park encompasses more than 100 square miles of beautiful water where you will find a vast array of coral, over 600 species of tropical fish, and other marine life such as dolphins, eagle rays, sea turtles, eels, etc.

Key Largo offers a wide variety of accommodations, some of the best seafood you will find anywhere, and water-sports for people of all ages.  A typical perfect "Keys" day includes breakfast on the water at a local restaurant named The Galley, overlooking one of the many marinas as you watch the boats pass by.  Then it's back to the hotel, the Ramada or Marina Del Mar to get ready for a fun filled day of water sports.  Next is down to the marina where you would climb aboard either Reef Roamer or Quicksilver for a fun day of snorkeling the beautiful John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park.  Then stay on the boat for a relaxing and romantic sail while sipping champagne and watching the world's most breath-taking sunset.  Finish the day with a quiet dinner at the Key Largo Conch House or drinks at Sharkey's Pub.  Not a bad way to spend a vacation!  Wake up the next day and visit Caribbean Water Sports for another fun-filled day of jet-skis, Hobie-cats, kayaks, eco-tours, etc.  One could almost spend their entire vacation on the water, which is why Key Largo earns its title as "diving capital of the world!"

A little less crowded than Miami and Key West, Key Largo is the perfect get-away for the romantic couple, the family, or a personal escape to paradise right here in the USA.
