Located on the Caloosahatchee River approximately 33 miles upstream of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway. Viewing area off Old Olga Road just east of Olga, Florida at the W.P. Franklin Lock Recreation Area.

Families comes here often to have a day of fun and relaxing. You can see plenty of wildlife with in the park. You can boats come through the dam where it opens and closes. It is neat to watch. You will see plenty of small and large fish, turtles, and all sorts of birds. Depending on what side of the river you are on. You may see an alligator or manatees. As the manatees have figured out how to go through the locks.There is a small beach to swim and a park for the kids to play. There is a campground on both sides of the river to stay the night. You can BBQ or bring coolers. There is plenty of space to play games and watch the kids run. Its an amzing place.
