Clearwater Beach

Across the street from Clearwater Beach is the Clearwater Municipal Marina. This is an obvious mecca for dinner cruises, boats and catamarans for rents, tour boats and personal craft but you might miss the great shopping opportunities if you just give it a casual glance. It is basically a mini mall with five or six specialty stores. The store facing the street (nearest Crabby Bill's) looks like a typical tourist store but check our their prices. Beach towels here can cost less than at the famous blue retail chain found in nearly every city. There are also all the obigatory tourist souvenirs but the shirts are really nice quality and the store as a whole is a pleasant surprise.  The Nautical Shoppe has all things nautical and is like a combination between a hobby shop and an antique store. Across the hall is a jewelry shop with some beautiful pieces, some affordable, some not so much. Be sure to look up on the wall behind the counter where they keep some of the neatest stuff.

If you are after swimwear, just stroll along the street facing the gulf. Every block or two there is a shop specializing in beach wear and beach accessories.  The gift shop in front of Shepherd's Beach Resort, though small, has a neat selection of souvenirs as well as a limited selection of beach accessories.
