By Air

There are a number of different airports in the area, but there is a tradeoff between distance from Groton and the number of airlines that service the airports. The closest to Groton is Groton-New London Airport, located within the city of Groton, but there are no commercial flights with service to the airport at this time. Next, there is the Tweed New Haven Regional Airport, about 45 minutes away in New Haven, CT, with seven daily flights on US Airways to Philadelphia. Bradley International Airport is serviced by a number of major airlines and is located just north of Hartford, Connecticut, about an hour away from Groton. Then there are always the New York City airports, although these are over two hours away from Groton.

By Train
