Although it is a small town, Breckenridge takes pride in its many cultural offerings.  Visitors and locals alike enjoy the town's many art galleries, concerts, theatrical performances, and museums, in addition to the world-class skiing and riding at the ski resort.

Breck is world-renowned for the character both of the town and of its residents. The locals are known as friendly, laid-back and unassuming....visitors will experience none of the pretention or attitude that can be found in more glitzy ski resort towns. Guests from other states or countries often comment on how friendly and genuine the locals are, either when encountering them on the street or when being served by them at restaurants, shops or the ski resort.

Jeans and casual clothing can be worn at all times, to any gallery, restaurant or other establishment in town, and most everyone dresses very casual for every occasion; in fact, it's extremely rare to see things like high heels, fur coats, or suits and ties anywhere in town, at any time.

Events are held year round, both in town and on the slopes at the resort, leading to a multitude of special events to take part in, in addition to all the outdoor activities that are available  year-round.

Signature events include the International Snow Sculpture Championships, the annual Ullr Fest celebration, Spring and Summer Beer Festivals, the month-long Spring Fever town-wide festival, the annual Kingdom Days Celebration, one of the world's top extreme action sports events, the Winter Dew Tour, the biggest Oktoberfest celebration in the Rocky Mountains, and many more events that offers compelling and uinque offerings for guests of all ages.

The Breckenridge Film Festival is a popular cultural event which attracts many film industry notables and visitors annually.

Breck also has a thriving arts district, with several galleries, shows, performances and classes available year-round.
